William F. Rosenberger

William "Shaggy" Rosenberger , 78, Port Carbon passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29th at the home of his daughter, Terry.

Born in Port Carbon, he was a son of the late Albert and Marie (Wertz) Rosenberger. He was employed as a textile supervisor for Pottsville Bleach and Dye until his retirement.

Shaggy enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, crabbing, kayaking, white water rafting, golfing, line dancing and collecting beach glass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose McGowan Rosenberger; his daughter Tracy Rosenberger Baver; his son Mark Rosenberger and his brother Daniel Wertz.

Shaggy is survived by his daughter, Terry Rosenberger Squires and her husband John, Girardville; his sister, Kathrin Wertzberger; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wiecicoskie; his grandchildren: Carissa McGinley (Jeff Kramer); Michael Halsey (Morgan Drey); Sarah Halsey (Cole Smeltz); Amanda Halsey; and Jacob Baver; his great-grandchildren: Connor, Addy, Hanna, Brinley, Jason, Ivy, Amarrah and Maddy; his best friends, Sandy Kramer and Kristen Krusnoski; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
