William P. Gownley

William P. " Pat " Gownley, 70, Girardville, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home.

Born in Fountain Springs he was a son of the late Michael L. and Regina Ann ( Finn ) Gownley. He had been employed as an auditor for the State of Pennsylvania until his retirement.

He was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church and American Legion Post # 309 both of Girardville and Frackville Elks Lodge # 1533. He was a Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam war.

Pat is survived by his sister Mary wife of Ronald Ferrari Sr., Girardville, his brother Michael L.F. and his wife Patricia A. Gownley, Big Mine Run, nieces and nephews; Ronald J. ( Kathy ) Ferrari Jr., Doylestown, Joseph F. ( Sandy ) Ferrari, Ashland, Camille A. wife of Chris Katsoris, Girardville and Patricia Ann Vaneck, TN.. Pat loved spending time with his great nieces and nephews; Michael and Faith Ferrari, Doylestown, Taylor Ferrari, Ashland and Anthony, Evan and Narissa Katsoris, Girardville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, with Rev. Edmund Brennan, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs.
