William E. Faust

William E. Faust , 89, Girardville, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late William G. and Beatrice M. Narbutitis Faust. He was employed as a technician for Bell Telephone Co., Allentown until his retirement.

Bill was a U.S. Merchant Marine and Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and Hogans Social Club, both of Allentown, the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was a faithful Washington Redskins and Penn State fan.

Bill was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Girardville, sacred worship site of St. Charles Borromeo Parish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Rosemarie Weber Faust and his companion of 21 years, Betty Medlinsky.

Bill is survived by his three sons: William E. Faust Jr. and his wife Marie, Allentown, Kenneth G. and his wife Carol Faust, New Tripoli, Joseph M. and his wife Lisa Faust of Coopersburg; his two daughters: Mary Beth and her husband Art Riter, Macungie and Lorena Faust and her fiancé Stich Melber, Allentown; six grandchildren: Teresa, Billy, Keith, Rebecca, Kenny and Lindsay.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment with military honors will be in the German Protestant Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
