Virginia L. " Ginny " Collins , 69, Philadelphia, formerly of Frackville, passed away peacefully Friday evening at Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born in Pottsville she was a daughter of the late Daniel P. and Mary F. ( Pauley ) Collins. She had been employed as a secretary/ receptionist for AFSCME, District Council # 47, Philadelphia.

She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church, Philadelphia and a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Frackville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Ann Prosick and her great-nephew Thomas Steward IV.

Ginny is survived by her sister Karen wife of Thomas Hede, Frackville, her brother-in-law Edward Prosick, Frackville, also by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Robert T. Finlan as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9:30 until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Ginny's name, to the American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931
