Thomas J. Smith

Thomas J." Tommy" Smith , 38, Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Mary Teresa "Terri" Tenaglia Smith, Frackville and the late Thomas F. Smith.

He was employed as a machine operator at Hexcel.

He was a 2002 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School. Growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball and football. Tommy was a Philadelphia sports fan following the Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. He was an avid Notre Dame fan having traveled out to South Bend many times for games. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his friends four wheeling, shooting pool, camping and attending the Pocono Races.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Mary Tenaglia and his paternal grandparents Robert and Elizabeth Smith.

Tommy is survived by his mother Terri Smith and his maternal grandfather James Tenaglia, Frackville and also by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 24 ^th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, officiating. Friends may visit  at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 until the time of service.

Interment will be in Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
