Stephen Kosick

Stephen Kosick , 86, Girardville, passed away peacefully Friday morning at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Wasil and Justine (Kevachka) Kosick. Stephen worked as a self employed contractor until his retirement.

Stephen was an Army, Army Air Corps, Air Force and Navy Veteran having served during World War II and the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of both the Amvets and VFW.

Stephen enjoyed gardening and wood crafting.

Stephen was preceded in death by his three sisters: Mary Kosick, Ann Wasilko, and Helen Kleckner; three brothers: Afton, John and Wasil Kosick.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine Rae Gifford Kosick, Girardville; three sons: Howard Kosick, Girardville, Kenneth Kosick, Pottsville and Earl Kosick, New Jersey; five daughters: Stephanie Trimboli, Florida, Justine Alexander, Girardville, Victoria Weikel, Girardville, Bernadette Kosick, Shenandoah and Monique Benjamin of St. Clair; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his sister Eva Bell, New Jersey and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
