Stanley J. Bulcavage

Stanley J. Bulcavage , 90, Frackville, died peacefully Tuesday at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Frackville he was a son of the late John and Teofilia " Yakimovich " Bulcavage. He had been employed by the US Postal Service and retired as the Postmaster of the Frackville Post Office, a position he held for several years.

He was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church, Frackville.

He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a well known referee for both high school football and basketball games, for numerous years and was honored by his induction into the Jerry Wolman Chapter, Sports Hall of Fame of Northeastern PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years the former Florence " Nothstein " Bulcavage in 2005, two brothers; Edward and Joseph Bulcavage and two sisters; Stella Slovak and Ann Kraft.

Stan is survived by his son S. David ( Marilyn ) , Havertown, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass for Stan will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church, Second and Oak Sts., Frackville, with Rev. Robert Plichta, Pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, W. Mahanoy Twp.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass.
