Shirley Hancock

Shirley Hancock , 88, of Girardville passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10th at Geisinger/St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Fanning) Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leo M. Hancock; her son, Martin Hancock; her sisters: Jean Miller, Joan Thames and Martha Williams; her brother, Bill Williams; her son-in-law, Dennis Lally.

Shirley worked as a seamstress in the local garment factories.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters: Susan Lally, Girardville; Tina Kaleda and her husband Joe, Reading; Cheryl Ann Semanchick and her husband Ted, Girardville; her grandchildren: Dana Lally, Deanna Lally, Amanda Evans, Joey Kaleda, Tanya Oliver, Tommy Oliver and Shannon O'Donnell; also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
