Ruth H. Moyer

Ruth H. Moyer , 88, Frackville, died peacefully Thursday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Louise (Hall) Buchanan. Ruth last worked as a cashier for Boyer's Market until her retirement.

Ruth was a life member of St. Peter's United Church-Christ, Frackville. She was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a North Schuylkill Football, Basketball or Lady Spartan Basketball game. She was a lifetime member of the Frackville Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilson C. "Wick" Moyer in 1994, a son Keith Moyer in 1998; two brothers: Bob and Tom Buchanan.

Ruth is survived by her son Robert "Bob" and wife Janet Moyer, Frackville, a daughter-in-law Lyndsay Moyer, New Cumberland; Two grandchildren: Janelle Moyer, Ashland, and Bobby and his wife Courtney Moyer, Richmond, VA, who are expecting a great-grandson in March.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
