Rose Marie Gower , 67, Girardville, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of Alberta Marquardt Eye, Girardville and her late husband Kenneth Eye. Rose Marie worked as a clerk typist for SCI Mahanoy Department of Corrections.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Girardville.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Button and three brothers: Kenny, Jerry and Joseph Eye.

Rose Marie is survived by her mother Alberta; two sons: Brian and his wife Michelle Gower, Girardville and Bill and his wife Pam Gower, Lake Wynonah; two sisters: Lillian Fago, Ashland and Helen Anne Halsey, St. Clair; two grandchildren: Billy and Crystal Gower. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Girardville with Rev. Edward B. Connolly, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
