Robert J. Price

Robert J. Price , 78, Hazleton and former Frackville resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13th at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Mary (Haughney) Price.

Robert was a graduate of the former Frackville High School. After high school, he went on to receive a degree in Electrical Engineering and his Masters from Cambridge College. Robert moved to New York, where he taught physics and astronomy in the New York City School District including Stuyvesant High School until returning to Hazleton.

Throughout Robert's life, he had a great love for music. He was a drummer in the local music scene having played in many local marching bands. He also played for the San Antonio Rose Band and in the Jazz band "So What?"

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Bubeck Price and a sister, Patricia Price McDonald.

Robert is survived by his two sisters: Janice Price, Schuylkill Haven; Mary Ann Price and her husband John Raess, Mount Carbon; a sister-in-law, Donna Bubeck.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 21st at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in the Englewood Section of Frackville.
