Robert Hoover Jr.

Robert Hoover Jr., 78, Frackville, died peacefully Sunday morning at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Born in Gordon he was a son of the late Robert and Ruth " Kehler " Hoover Sr. He had been employed by Dana Steel Corp., Reading, in the grinding and welding department, until his retirement.

He was of the Methodist faith. Bob was a member of Friendship Fire Co., Englewood, Evergreen Center, Mahanoy City, the resident council of the Orwigsburg Center and was honored as the "poster boy" for STS in their ad campaign. He was also honored as the senior volunteer for Schuylkill Co, Senior Services, in Pottsville. He was a devout lover of his Golden Retrievers and his cats.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Corrine Smith and his sister Shirley Bramlett.

Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years the former Mary " Wasaitis", his daughter Anne Hoover-Smith, Frackville, sisters-in-law Anna Vebrosky , Frackville and Ruth Woof, York also by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Bob's Life on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Friendship Fire Co., 7th and Pine Sts, Englewood, Frackville.
