Rita M. Loftus

Rita M. Loftus , 87, lifelong resident of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21st at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Agnes (Pitts) Liskow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Loftus; twin grand-daughters, Kristina and Katharine.

Rita worked as a cake decorator for the former Raudenbush's and TJ Barts Supermarkets until her retirement. She loved playing bingo, the lottery, watching TV and shopping on QVC. She enjoyed her life at the Centre Court Apartments in Ashland with her dear friends especially Ken and Sue.

Rita is survived by her daughter Patricia "Patty" Nunziata and her husband Robert, La Plata, MD; her brother, Nelson Liskow, Colorado; her 3 grandchildren: Michael, Zara and Schyler; her great-grandchildren: Emily, Paige, Harvey, Vara, Mack and Autumn; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing for Rita on Monday, November 25th from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville.

Private graveside services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
