Obituary

Rita E. Ketusky

Rita E. Ketusky , 80, Girardville, died peacefully Friday night at Rest Haven Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven.

Born in Connerton she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna ( Shucavage ) McAndrew. She had been employed by the Pa Department of Motor Vehicles, Harrisburg.

She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Girardville, where she served as the parish secretary for numerous years. She was the Treasurer for the Borough of Girardville for several years.

Rita's greatest joys in life were her husband Charlie, her family and the warm embrace of her many friends. She loved to sew and she especially loved shopping which was evident in her impeccable sense of style. While she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her, we know she is now with her beloved Charlie doing the " jitterbug " once again. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, we will look back in memory and take comfort in a life well lived.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2009, her sister Dorothy Kozel and her brother Bernard McAndrew.

Rita is survived by her two sisters; Anna Mae Gownley and Eleanor McDonald both of Girardville and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Girardville, with Rev. Edward B. Connolly, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of mass. There will be no viewing Wednesday evening.
