Regina " Jean Kowker " Miller , Frackville, died peacefully Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St. with her family at her side.
Born in Girardville she was a daughter of the late Martin and Kathryn ( O'Donnell ) Moran. She had been employed in the lab at the former Pottsville Hospital and Warren Clinic, later was employed at Pottsville Medical Lab, Necho Allen Hotel and last worked in the office of FAMA, until her retirement.
She was a 1942 graduate of Frackville High School, a graduate of Ohio Institute for Medical Assistants, and then attended Penn State University.
She was a member of Annunciation Church of St. Joseph's parish, Frackville, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. James # 1029, Frackville Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Frackville Area Senior Citizens and Lifetime member of " Back the Lions " .
Jean liked to travel, was an avid reader and all things Penn State and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by two husbands; Richard C. Kowker, 1995 and Herman Miller, 2007, her son Richard W. Kowker, 2014 and her brother Ted Moran.
Jean is survived by her daughters; Donna wife of Michael Strauss, Lebanon and Jean wife of Timothy Dando, Girardville, her grandchildren; Patrick and Jillian Kowker and Timothy and Madison Dando, beloved step-children; Timothy Miller, Sharon McCullough, Karen Otto, Sara Ann Kaufman and Kathy Grimes, her daughter-in-law Kathleen Kowker, Schnecksville, her brother Jack Moran, Frackville and her sister Eleanor " Nonie " wife of Thomas Scott, Clinton, NY also by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Annunciation Church, Frackville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Jean's name, to Trinity Academy, 233 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, PA 17976.
