Ralph J. Wittig

Ralph J. Wittig , Frackville, died unexpectedly Friday evening at his residence.

Born in Shenandoah Heights he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary " Mildred" ( Isgate ) Wittig.

He had been employed in the transportation department of Lowe's distribution Center.

He was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers and also a Penn State fan his entire life. He had coached baseball for the Frackville Little League and Frackville Teeners for several years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Clara Petri.

He is survived by his wife the former Lisa ( Petri ) with whom he would have celebrated 41 years of marriage on January 6th , his three sons; Chad and his wife Kara Wittig, Whitehall, Keith Wittig, Frackville and John and his wife Elizabeth Wittig, Frackville, three grandchildren; Madeline, Sophia and Chase Wittig, three sisters; Carol Braud, Arden, NC, Doris Kehler, Tamaqua and Peg Lewis, Ashville, NC and also by two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. Gene Stevenson, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville, officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, W. Mahanoy Twp.. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening.
