Paul A. Dean , 46 S. Mahanoy St., formerly of N. Nice St. Frackville, died early Saturday morning, shortly after arrival at St. Catherine Medical Center, Fountain Springs.

Born in Frackville he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth " Mervine" Dean. He had been employed for Penn Dot in the vehicle registration dep't. until his retirement in 2003.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Elks Lodge # 1533, Frackville Area Senior Citizens and a social member of American Legion Post # 398, all of Frackville.

He was preceded in death by four brothers; William, Joseph, Darrin and James Dean and a sister Carol Hauze.

Paul is survived by his wife the former Janet " Shuey ", with whom he would have celebrated 47 years of marriage in August, three sons; Paul and his wife Beth Dean, Gordon, Duane and his wife Carol Dean, Frackville and Kris and his wife Jess Dean, Lake Wynonah, a sister Laura and her husband Thomas Tomko, NJ, eight grandchildren; Ashley, Douglas, Tyler, Tanner, Paul, Kasey, Jason and Jack Dean, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Oliver Brown officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
