Michelle E. Salukas , 43, Girardville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown with her loving family at her side.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of Joseph and Claire (Dando) Salukas of Girardville. She was employed as a clerk for the State Workers Insurance Fund in Pottsville.

Michelle was a 1998 graduate of Cardinal Brennan High School, where she excelled in basketball. She went on to graduate from McCann's School of Business before entering the workforce.

She was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed trips with her family to South Bend, especially the girl's trip.  She enjoyed the yearly family vacation to the beach with the whole Salukas and Dando families. Relaxing poolside at the family pool, enjoying her time reading, family game nights and crafting with her little monsters were among her favorite things to do.

"Because a promise between friends means never having to give a reason." – Phoebe.      Michelle had a heart of gold, a love for the TV show "Friends" and will be sadly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Beatrice Salukas; her maternal grandparents, William and Claire Dando and by her beloved dogs Tootsie and Mugsy.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Jennifer Kowalonek and her husband Stefan, Fountain Springs; her brother Joseph Salukas III and his wife Angie of Gordon; her little monsters: Joseph IV and Brady Salukas; Claire, Alyza and Francis Kowalonek; numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 5th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 403 W. Main St., Girardville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito officiating. Friends and family are invited to her visitation on Saturday morning at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made, in Michelle's name, to the Girardville Basketball Association in care of Paul Kowalick at 250 N. Second Street, Girardville, PA 17935
