Michael Kostishak

Michael Kostishak , 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2011, with his loving family by his side at his home in Burtonsville, MD.

Born October 4, 1931 in Branchdale, PA, he was the son of the late Peter Kostishak and Marie Kostishak (neé Torick).

Michael enjoyed his time reading and sharing his knowledge with others. Michael was a graduate of Penn State University and George Mason Law School. He had an avid interest in politics, government, finance and the law.

He was a Korean War Veteran and worked for the US Coast Guard and the State of Maryland Bankruptcy Courts.

He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Doris E. ( nee Shuey ) Kostishak.

Michael is survived by his three children, Dale Kostishak, Denise Hook and Beth Ann Smith; and three grandchildren, Katie Kostishak, Nicole Smith and Taylor Smith.

A service to celebrate the life of Michael will be held at 11 AM Friday May 27th at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 501 Washington Street, Frackville, PA, with Pastor Oliver Brown officiating.

A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
