Michael E. Dillman

Michael E. Dillman , 38, passed away peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by his loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of Mary Ellen Dillman, Frackville and her late husband Kevin G. Dillman Sr.

Michael had a love for baseball and excelled in the sport. He was a member of the 1995 Frackville Championship All-Star team, the Frackville Teener League and the Frackville American Legion Baseball team. He won multiple championships when he played and was known as "Iron Mike" to his teammates for his ability to throw the ball and hit homeruns. Mike still holds the Frackville Little League record for most homeruns in a year (36). Throughout his baseball career his dad, Kevin Sr. and his Coach John Chuma inspired and challenged Mike to be an exceptional baseball player.

Mike also was passionate about football and the teams he followed. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Notre Dame fan. On the diamond, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and in hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks. He enjoyed playing with his dogs and driving in his Camaro.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Kevin G. Dillman Sr. on August 20 ^th .

In addition to his mother, Mary Ellen Dillman, he is survived by a brother Kevin and his wife Amanda Dillman, Frackville; his bright-eyed beautiful niece who he adored, Peyton and loving nephew Carter Dillman; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Combined Funeral Services for Michael and his father Kevin will be held on Friday, August 28 ^th at 12 noon from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. Jeff Merwine officiating. Friends are invited to a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
