Mary A. Tobias , 80, Ashland, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday afternoon.
Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna Corrigan Brennan. She had been employed as an insurance agent for American General and then later as a home health care nurse for specific individuals until her retirement.
She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Girardville, now St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands: John F. Yagielniskie and Russel L. Tobias; her son Daniel R. Yagielniskie; her daughter Mary Ann Yagielniskie; her grandson John F. Yagielniskie III; her granddaughter Mariana Yagielniskie; her sisters: Ellen McDonald, Catherine Brennan and Patsy Harris; her brothers: Robert and William Brennan.
Mary is survived by her two daughters Ann Marie and her husband Mark Barket, Ashland and Mary Kay and her husband John Bernosky, Wyomissing; her son John F. Yagielniskie, Girardville; her grandchildren: Tanya Bennet, Alexandra and Zachary Bernosky and Sarah Barket; her two great-grandchildren: Chase and Keaton; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland on Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Rothermel, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass.
