Mary ( Peleschak ) Pelesky
Mary ( Peleschak ) Pelesky , 104, Frackville, passed away peacefully Friday at Schuylkill Center , Pottsville.
Born in Trenton she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary " Glowa " Saloma. She had been employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Charles Rabin factory, until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, and was a member and past secretary of the Sacred Heart Society of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Pelesky in 1991 and her son John Peleschak in 1983, four brothers; Frankie, Steve, Wassil and Nicholas Saloma, five sisters; Anna Kaliher, Eva Sabol, Theresa Dutchak, Catherine and Julie Saloma
Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law Dolores Peleschak, Englewood, Frackville, eight grandchildren; John Peleschak, Anna Holtz, Rosemarie Clark, Eli Peleschak, Susan Thraen, Mark Peleschak, Michael Peleschak and Matthew Peleschak, 13 great-grandchildren; Alicia, John, Ulana, Ashley, Daniel, Andrew, Elizabeth, Abigail, Emily, Matthew, Olivia, Caitlyn and Ronald, a brother John Saloma,Frackville, two sisters Irene Plaxa, Frackville and Helen Penkal, Orefield, nieces and nephews.
Panakhyda service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Archpriest John M. Fields, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with parastas at 7:30.
