, 80, Frackville, died peacefully Wednesday night at Geisinger Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Girardville she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary " Zangari " Alcaraz. She had lived most of her life in Shenandoah Heights and had been employed at the former Woolworths store in Shenandoah.
She was a member of Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. James # 1029, American Legion Auxiliary Post #398, all of Frackville, also both the Frackville and Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband Aloysius, Al " Shanty " in 1991, Her great-grand-daughter Kira, her sister Annabelle Conally and son-in-law James " Jimbo " Stavinski.
Mary is survived by her son Frank and his wife Gail McCole, Frackville, her four daughters; Maryann wife of John Smith, Shenandoah, Winnie wife of Alex McConnell, Bethlehem, Sharon wife of Jerry Canfield, Shenandoah Heights and Janet Stavinski, Englewood, Frackville, her twelve grandchildren; Tonya, Tina, Wendy, Elaine, Susan, Amanda, Jennifer, April, Jimmy, Ian, Tyler and Chase, eight great-grandchildren; Caitlyn, Hayley, Amie, Paige, Taylor, Kyden, Bella and Kolby, five brothers; John Alcaraz, Shenandoah, Frank Alcaraz, NC, Joseph Alcaraz, Drums, Philip Alcaraz, Shenandoah and Anthony Alcaraz, VA, two sisters; Antoinette Swallow, Strafford, NJ and Cathy Oswald, Deptford, NJ also several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday in Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery Shenandoah Heights. Friends may call at the church Monday morning from 10 a.m. until time of mass.
