Mary Lou Leiby

Mary Lou Leiby, 61, Ringtown, died Wednesday, at the scene of an auto accident, just west of Mahanoy Plane.

Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late Leonard V. and Naomi L. ( Seitzinger ) Caton. She had been employed as a teachers aide for Schuylkill County Child Development, for 17 years, until her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Frackville, a life member of Disabled American Veterans, Auxiliary, Pottsville chapter, Ringtown American Legion auxiliary and Goodwill Hose Co. auxiliary, Frackville.

Mary Lou was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and will always be remembered for her caring nature and generosity to others.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother Leonard L. Caton in 1990.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 41 years George Leiby, her son Heath and his wife Nicole Leiby, Ashland, her daughter Heather wife of Eric Snyder, Ringtown, her sister Naomi L. Vigoda, Pottsville, her grandchildren: Jaden Leiby, Jake and Rachel Green, Austin and Vanessa Snyder and her devoted companion, her dog Heidi, also by aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Gene Stevenson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions, in Mary Lou's name, to the Ringtown Area Library, 132 W. Main St., Ringtown, Pa17967.
