Mary T. Cickavage

Mary T. Cickavage , 92, a guest at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died peacefully Wednesday evening at the center.

Born in Mahanoy Plane she was a daughter of the late William and Mary " Dubosky " Boner. She had been employed as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 1960

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, and was a former member of the church choir. She was a cast member, for several years, in the minstrels held at the church and is still remembered for her song and dance routines. Mary's zest and love for life will always be cherished by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cickavage Sr. in 1970, her son Edward "Chick" Jr in 1988 and her grandson Daniel McCloskey in 1995 also by two brothers; Francis and Joseph Boner and two sisters; Ann Amber and Margaret Yockachonis.

Mary is survived by her son William and his wife Elaine Cickavage, two daughters Dorothy "Dottie" and her husband Frank Susan and Ann Marie and her husband Stanley "Stosh" McCloskey, all of Frackville. Eight grandchildren , four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Monday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. J. Michael Beers, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with scripture service at 7 p.m.
