Mary Jo Brennan

Mary Jo Brennan , 65, Halifax, formerly of Girardville, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Ashland she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Whitley Bakerofskie. She had worked as a CNA until her illness.

Mary Jo will always be remembered for her truly kind soul. Her positive and bright spirit will shine bright in our hearts and memories.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Brennan a grandson Peter Brennan, a sister Jane Shalamanda and two brothers; Jon and Joseph Bakerofskie.

Mary Jo is survived by her son Joseph Brennan Jr and his partner Carlene Burley, Girardville, her two daughters; Laurie Brennan and her partner Michael Graham, Halifax and Debra wife of Michael Stratton, Palmyra, her brother Daniel Bakerofskie and his partner Gina Sefing, Pottsville, her three sisters; Charlotte wife of Michael Perler, Reynoldsburg, OH, Judy wife of Edward Haluska, Girardville and Charolotte Ellen wife of Troy Jantzi, Philadelphia, her 5 grandchildren; Erikka, Jessica, Morgan, Jameson and Bailey, great-grandchildren Ashlyn and Aaryn also by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
