Martin J. "Marty" Cuff
Martin J. "Marty" Cuff , 72, Shenandoah Heights, passed away on Saturday, August 17th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Martin and Florence Walentakiwicz Cuff. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.
Marty worked as a construction worker for most of his life but also used his entrepreneurial skills to run a vending business and later owning and operating his own construction company.
Marty had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He enjoyed cooking and he loved to travel especially to Key West, Sarasota and Ireland with his late wife. He was an avid sports fan who loved the New York Giants, Yankees and Penn State.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marianne C. Cuff and a sister, Mary Duffy.
Marty is survived by his son, Christopher Cuff and his wife Janelle, Shenandoah; his daughter Rachelle Cuff, Shenandoah and her companion John Chowansky; a brother, Mike Cuff and his wife Barbara, Ringtown; his sisters: Peggy Soboleuski and her husband Danny, Maryland; Julie Fegley and her husband Mark, Hatfield; Cathy Mongrain and her husband Mike, Lake Wynonah; his three grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas and Ella; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 10 a.m. from Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah with Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to his visitation at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held in Annunciation BVM Catholic Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Martin's name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
