Mark D. Whipple

Mark D. Whipple , 46, Girardville, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of Emma (Spiece) Whipple, Girardville and the late Emlem Whipple. He had been employed as a welder for Goulds Pumps, Ashland.

Mark was of the Methodist faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his son, David Whipple, Girardville; a brother Emlen Whipple, Chicago; three sisters: Susan McMahan, Girardville, Nancy Whipple, Ashland and Deborah Whipple, Chicago; his companion, Marguerite  Jessman, Girardville. Also survived by nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
