Marie Angela Steiff "Angie", 84, of Ashland, PA, passed away Saturday, November 14th, at Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian, Pottsville.


Angie was born in Pottsville, PA on January 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Catherine (Stagliano) and Vito Galle. She Graduated from Pottsville Area High School Class of 1948.


Angie was a seamstress working for various garment factories in Schuylkill County and retired from Model Garment Frackville


She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Parish – Ashland


She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family, nieces, nephews and extended family. Angie loved to Country Line Dance. She was a volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary at the former Good Samaritan Hospital "Caring Corner".


She was the widow of Herbert "Herky" Steiff.


Angie is survived by two sons John of Fountain Springs, and Bob and his wife Christine of Fountain Springs. Angie is also survived by a sister, Rosemarie Donatucci, of New Jersey, and a brother, Vito Galle, of Pottsville. Also surviving are: 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Teri and her husband JD Fekula of Orefield (daughters Jacquelyn and Isabelle). Bob and his wife Jen (sons, Ryan and Kyle). Jill Steiff (daughter Rylee). John and Adam Steiff. She has numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.


Angela was preceded in death by an infant brother Joseph and sisters Josephine Devine, and Elizabeth "Betty" McGinley.


In the last year of Angela's life she was comforted by two exceptional care givers. The family is very grateful to Chrissy Disabella of Pottsville and Margaret-Ann Finlan of Girardville for their support and compassion at the final stage of Angie's life.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Ann Church, Frackville, at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 17th, with Rev Robert Finlan officiating.


Friends may call Monday 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday 9 To 10:30 AM at Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home. Family prefers donations to the American Heart Association.
