Madeline A. Buchanan

Madeline A. Buchanan , 79, Frackville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Veronica Abromitis Luscavage. She had been employed as a secretary for Zapatas and Domalakes Insurance until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville, Frackville Area Senior Citizens, and the Frackville Elks Lodge #1533. She loved watching her Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom H. Buchanan in 1996.

Madeline is survived by her son Gary and his wife Andrea Buchanan and her daughter Tracy Hughes both of Frackville, her sister Diane Luscavage, Pottsville, her grandchildren; Brian and his wife Judi Buchanan, Nicole Buchanan, Arielle Williams, Amanda Buchanan, Mya and Nathan Hughes, two great-grandchildren; Payton and Gunnar, several nieces and nephews.

Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. Robert T. Finlan officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Madeline's name, to the memorial fund of St. Joseph's Parish at 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, PA 17931.
