Loretta Petusky , 71, lifelong resident of Girardville, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at Ridgeview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah.

Born in Girardville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary "Yocachonis" Laconis.

She had been employed as a store clerk for the Frackville Exon.

Loretta was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Girardville.

She enjoyed her time out with her family at the local casinos and rubbing off scratch-offs.

She was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Laconis, a grandson, Richard Petusky and a granddaughter, Tomee Gower.

Loretta is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Leonard J. Petusky. She is also survived by a son Jim Petusky and companion Sharon Gower of Girardville; 2 daughters: Denise and Linda Petusky of Girardville; 3 sisters: Mary Anne Karwois of Falls Church, VA, Irene Galvin of Orlando, FL, and Patricia Golden of San Antonio, FL; 5 grandchildren: Rachel, Jenna, Jimmy, Michael, and Ryan; 4 great-grandchildren: Charizma, Chloe, Danika, and Cole; and also survived by a brother-in-law, Albie Petusky.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Rev Edward B. Connolly, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Church, as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.
