Leonard S. Bolinsky Sr.
Leonard S. Bolinsky Sr. 81, Englewood, Frackville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his residence.
Born in Englewood, Frackville, he was a son of the late Anthony and Jean Szwabowicz Bolinsky Sr.. He had been employed as an equipment operator for PPL until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville, St. Ann's Catholic Church where he was married and all of his children were baptized in St. Ann's.
Leonard was a 1958 graduate of the former Butler Township High School and then proudly served in the Army reserves. He was an avid bowler and Phillies fan and was an accomplished musician especially on the accordion.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 59 years Ann M. Pinchot Bolinsky, his two daughters; Donna wife of Ed Sanchez, Ringtown and Sue wife of Carl Fortna, Fleetwood, his four sons; Len Jr. and his wife Wendy, Fountain Springs, Stephen and his wife Dannielle, Lewisburg, Mark and his wife Julie, New Hampshire and Greg and his wife Jamie, Sunbury, his four brothers and one sister; Anthony Jr (Bonnie) Bolinsky, Patricia Vollenweider, Joseph (Louise) Bolinsky, Frank Sr.( Marlene ) Bolinsky and Richard ( Barbara ) Bolinsky. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren; Stephen (Nancy) Sanchez, Karen (Kurt) Paukovits, John Sanchez, Sarah, Carl Jr., Shawn and Jacob Fortna, Kayla and Lenny Bolinsky, Alec, Tristan and Sydney Bolinsky, Gabriel (Zoe) Bolinsky , Olivia and Hannah Bolinsky, Addison and Joshua Bolinsky also great-grandchildren; Rhea, Frank, Andilynn, Roman and one more greatgrandchild on the way, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m.in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Frackville. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. A viewing will be held at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Leonard's name, be made to the Frackville Free Library at 56 N. Lehigh Avenue Frackville, PA 17931
