Leona Interdonato Dower , 83, formerly of Frackville passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Spiritrust Lutheran, the Village at Sprenkle Dr., York, Pa.

Born in St. Clair she was a daughter of the late John and Julia ( Guris ) Slopovsky. She had been employed as Director of Activities at Shenandoah Senior Living Center, until her retirement.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville. She was a former member of Schuylkill County Community Chorus. Some of Leona's favorite pastimes included; Crafts, quilting, knitting, cross stitch, pastels, sewing and crochet.

She was preceded in death by two husbands; Joseph N. Interdonato and Harry G. Dower, a grandson Joseph N. I. Shetter, a sister Emily Benes and two brothers Paul and John Slopovsky.

Leona is survived by her three sons; Nicholas P. ( Lee Ann ) Interdonato, Gettysburg, John R. ( Gail ) Interdonato. E. Greenwich RI and Gary M. ( Pamela ) Interdonato, Easton, MD, her daughter Nancy, wife of Craig Klimon, Hanover, Pa, her grandchildren; Nicole, Jessica, Melissa and Sean also by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
