Lawrence “Larry” Greblick, 87, of Frackville, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 17, 1938, in Ashland, Pennsylvania, Larry was a lifelong resident of Frackville and a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Frackville. He was the son of the late John and Ruth Greblick and was preceded in death by his brother, John Greblick, and a nephew David Semanchick.
Larry married the love of his life, Miriam (Buchspics) Greblick, on March 3, 1962, and together they shared nearly 64 years of marriage filled with love, family, and devotion.
He was a graduate of Frackville High School, Class of 1956, and proudly served his country in the United States military. Larry worked at the former Allied Chemical in Marlin before opening Larry’s Sport Shop on Lehigh Avenue in Frackville in 1963, which he owned and operated for nearly 60 years. He was a familiar and beloved presence in town and was often spotted sitting outside his shop, enjoying a cigar and greeting friends. His shop was not only a place of business, but a place where the community gathered.
Larry found great joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, watching a good western movie, and traveling to Canada on fishing trips with his family. He was a proud member of the Buck Buster Hunting Club and a founding father of the Broad Mountain Archery Club, where he shared his passion for archery, hunting, and the outdoors with lifelong friends. He also enjoyed simple drives through the area, taking in the places he had known his entire life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Miriam; his children, Michelle Chandler and her husband Douglas of Huntington, Vermont; Gary Greblick and his wife Stacy of Deer Lake; Brian Greblick and his wife Christine of Lavelle; and Matthew Greblick of Huntington, Vermont; his grandchildren, Jay Chandler, Jordynn Brisbin, Courtney Greblick, Trevor Greblick, Sarah Greblick, Luke Greblick, and Olivia Greblick; his great-granddaughter, Ivy Brisbin; his sister, Joanne Semanchick and her husband Gene; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Phillips and her husband James; his brother-in-law, Lewis Buchspics and his wife Grace; and many nieces.
Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and as a lifelong and proud member of the Frackville community.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, March 6th at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 501 West Washington Street, Frackville. A funeral service will be held on Friday evening beginning at 7:30 pm with Pastor Nong Bautista officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Larry’s honor to the South End Field & Stream Association, 102 Morea Road, Frackville, PA 17931.
