Kenneth M. Wolfe

Kenneth M. Wolfe , 84, Frackville, died peacefully Tuesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

Born in Pattersonville, he was a son of the late Aaron and Elsie "Clark" Wolfe. Kenneth was the last surviving member of his immediate family of six brothers and two sisters.

Ken attended Elementary and High School in Ringtown and participated in baseball, basketball, and soccer athletics. He had been employed by Acme Markets in Tamaqua as a Produce Manager and in Jim Thorpe as Assistant Store Manager for 40 years before retiring in 1994.

Ken was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after loyally serving 3 years for his country from 1948 until 1951.

Ken married his loving and caring wife, the former Geraldine "Gerrie" Dugan, on June 24, 1951 and was the proud father of two surviving sons, Mark of Frackville and Matthew and his wife Debbie of Mechanicsburg. Ken is also survived by two grandchildren Megan and Adam; one great-grandson, Noah and many nieces and nephews.

Ken loved his wife and family. By example, Ken and his wife have taught his family the happiness of a modest lifestyle, kindness to others, an honest compassion for those less fortunate, great pride in our accomplishments and, above all, fortitude. Ken will be remembered as a genuine, real man and will be missed by all who loved him.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kenneth's name to the memorial fund of St. Joseph's Church, 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, PA 17931
