Kenneth L. Martin Sr.

Kenneth L. "Ken" Martin Sr., 82, of Frackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30th, at Lehigh Valley Health Network–Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Born in Frackville, Ken was a lifelong resident of the community and a son of the late Michael and Mildred (Alton) Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael "Ted" Martin.

Ken was a graduate of the former Frackville High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 until 1967 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Frackville American Legion Post 398.

Ken shared 59 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Helen M. (Nolter) Martin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Kenneth L. Martin Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Dover; two daughters, Pam Kaufman and her husband, Mark, of Gordon, and Samantha Barrett and her husband, Chris, of Pasadena, Maryland; six grandchildren: Ian, Nicholas, Trent (Alyson), Kathryn, Logan, and Breanne; and two great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Luke.

Ken enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and especially loved fishing, auto racing, traveling, and camping. He found great joy in feeding the wildlife and nature that surrounded him and treasured the time he spent outdoors with family and friends.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
