Kathleen M. Chuplis

Kathleen M. Chuplis , 70 of Pottsville and formerly of Fountain Springs, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 30th surrounded by her family.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Kay (Kennedy) Houser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark J. Chuplis in 2018.

Kathleen was an avid traveler who especially enjoyed Las Vegas. She enjoyed gambling and was also an Amazon connoisseur. She was known for her distinctive laugh.

Kathleen is survived by her three daughters: Tara Stanton and her husband John, Pine Grove; Kenna Chuplis and her husband Justin Bradfield, Frackville; Chelsea Moyle and her husband Jeff, Pottsville; her brother, Paulie Houser, Girardville; her sisters: Barbara Lynch, Gordon and Virginia McMonegal, Girardville; her 11 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Melvin, Alexis, Cody (Chelsey), Taylor, Seth (Makayla), Justice, Moxie, Sterling, Cormac and Maddox; her great-granddaughter, Paisley; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th at 10 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, January 6th at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah.
