June M. Frantz

June M. Frantz , 729 W. Pine St., Englewood, Frackville passed away Friday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Pottsville she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Showers) Merryfield. She had been employed, as a seamstress, at Lady Hope Dress Factory, Kulpmont until her retirement.

She was a member and former treasurer of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post # 398 of Frackville and member of Frackville Area Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Frantz (1997), son James Frantz (1983), two brothers William and Walter Merryfield and a sister Grace Schlack.

Surviving are three sons Richard and his wife Deborah Frantz, Pittsburgh, Wayne and his wife Susan Frantz, Englewood, Frackville and John and his wife Margaret Frantz, Frackville. A brother George Merryfield, Temple, PA and a  sister Dorothy Croll, Endicott, NY, four grandchildren; Ashley Maslennikov, Kimberly Frantz, Annie Frantz, John D. Frantz and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, per the wishes of Mrs. Frantz. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. There will be no public viewing. Family requests contributions to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 301  1 Norwegian Plaza, Pottsville, PA 17901.
