Josephine Studlick

Josephine A. Studlick , Fountain Springs, died peacefully Wednesday morning at her residence.

Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette " Eidurgas" Vinskie. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Frackville for several years.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church, Frackville, where she was a past vice president of the Blessed Sacrament Society and also a member of the church auxiliary and a member of the Easter egg committee. She was a member of the Frackville American Legion post # 398 auxiliary, Frackville Area Senior Citizens, a member of Schuylkill County retired senior volunteer program of the former Ashland Hospital, a former treasurer of the ladies auxiliary and volunteer at Rest Haven Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven and a member of the Good Will Hose Co. ladies auxiliary.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Joseph S. Studlick in 1989. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters; Tony, Al, Ben, Peter and Joe Vinskie, Adele Andershonis, Monica Pulakaitus, and Connie Giba.

She is survived by a son Joseph and his wife Mary Studlick , Houston Tx, two daughters, Barbara Davis, Frackville and Joyce wife of Ellis Hatch, Pittsburgh, a sister Anita Keim, Frackville, six grandchildren: John, Jeffrey and Daryl Davis, Alan and Laura Hatch and Liz Studlick, two great-grandchildren Aaron Davis and Allyssa Hatch, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m on Saturday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home , Frackville, followed by mass at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev Robert Plichta, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.
