Josephine A. Cosgrove Smith R.N.

Josephine A. Cosgrove Smith R.N. , 305 W. Oak Street, Shenandoah, died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah she was a daughter of the late William and Annie " King " Cosgrove. She had been employed at the former Locust Mountain State Hospital, Shenandoah Heights, as an RN private duty nurse.

Josephine was a member of Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Shenandoah and the Catholic Nurses Association of Schuylkill County. She was a 1934 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School and received her RN degree from Misericordia Hospital, Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by a sister ; Sister Mary Consilium IHM.

Surviving is a daughter Mary Ann Walsh, a sister Agnes M. Habib, Levittown, Pa, a brother Edward Cosgrove, Lubbick, Tx , 2 nephews and a niece; Tony, Bill and Anne Habib also several great-nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 in Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Shenandoah with Msgr. Bernard Flannagan, Pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass.
