Joseph P. Reilly

Joseph P. Reilly , 94, Shenandoah, formerly of State College and Southern Pines, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 10th at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah. He was the third born of the late Patrick and Molly Monaghan Reilly.

At the time of his death he was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Ashland. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean War.

A graduate of Penn State University, his career was with Cerro Corporation and affiliates serving in Bellefonte, Pa, Cleveland Ohio and New York City retiring from Cerro as Vice President and Controller. He was a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Joan Shaffer, his siblings; Helen, John, Frances and James.

He is survived by following brothers and sisters ; Patricia Kowalick, Frackville, Irene Bradshaw, Yardley, Anthony, Frackville, Patrick, Fountain Springs, William and wife Patricia, Mechanicsburg; Robert and wife Jennifer, Charlotte, NC and Thomas and wife Terry, Macungie also by several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1104 Walnut Street, Ashland. Rev. Joseph Kovacic will be the celebrant. Friends and relatives are invited to his visitation at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass.

Interment will be at a later date in the Veterans National Cemetery in Washington Crossing, PA

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Joseph's name, be made to the Memorial Fund of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1115 Walnut Street, Ashland, PA  17921
