Joseph M. Blozousky

Joseph M. " Blazer " Blozousky , 82, Gilberton passed away peacefully Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Maizeville he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Anna " Napavanitz " Blozoskie.

He had been employed for several years by the former Metropolitan Mirror and Glass Co, Frackville, and was last employed in the kitchen department of the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a member of Frackville American Legion Post # 398, where he was a past commander, VFW, DAV, Goodwill Hose Co, Frackville, Frackville and Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens and former member of Frackville Ambulance Association where he served as a driver for several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Ruth Kessock and also by two brothers, George and John Blozoskie. Blazer is survived by four brothers; Frank and his wife Connie, Maizeville, Anthony and his wife Diane, Mahanoy City, Michael, Maizeville and Stanley and his wife Diane, Frackville, two step-daughters; Kelly Gallagher, Fountain Springs and Tracey Secton, FL., several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m on Wednesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with scripture services at 7:30.
