John A. David

John A. " Jack " David , 66, of Mahanoy Plane, died peacefully Sunday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with his family at his side.

Born in Mahanoy Plane he was a son of the late John and Regina ( Koinsky ) David.

He was a member of St.John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War and a member of Frackville American Legion Post # 398.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Irene David.

Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years the former Patricia ( Sachleben ), his two sons; Brian and his wife Becky David, Fountain Springs and Jeffrey and his wife Rebecca David, Crossroads, TX, his grandchildren; Stephanie and Ashley David, two sisters; Patricia wife of Tony Damelio, Bayville, NJ and Barbara David, Ashland also by nieces and nephews.

Panachida service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Roman Pitula, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in John's name , to Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA17822.
