John T. Heaton

John T. Heaton , Girardville, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at home with his family at his side.

Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late John and Nellie ( Kane ) Heaton. He had been employed as the manager of K-Mart at the Schuylkill Mall, Frackville and later as the manager of K-Mart in Shamokin Dam until his retirement.

He was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church, Girardville, which is now St. Charles Borremeo Parish, Ashland

He was a decorated US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

John is survived by his wife the former Mary Kay " O'Boyle ", his three sons; J.J. , Michael and Justin Heaton, all at home, his sister Ellen Kathy wife of Kenneth Bretz, Harrisburg and also by three nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, with Rev. Edmund Brennan, officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will be held at 2:30 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. until time of service
