John J. Flynn III
John J. Flynn III , 74, Girardville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 1 st at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John and Ann Flynn. John was employed as a welder for an elevator manufacturing company in Philadelphia before retiring. John was truly the master of all trades.
John was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Girardville American Legion Post 309, where he served as a past commander and with the honor guard. He was also a member of the Girardville VFW and the Rangers Hose Co., where he served as a volunteer firefighter and fire police lieutenant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Marie Flynn in 2017; a sister, Patricia Adair; a brother, William Flynn; and a grandson Gerard Krug III.
John is survived by his children, Deborah Krug and her husband Gerard; Frank Flynn; Vincent Bomento and his wife Dee; Angela Myers and her husband Samuel; Roseann Capatino and her husband Jim; Antoinette Bomento and Carmen Bomento; his grandchildren: Joseph, Brooke, Erin, Giavonna, Roseann, James, Lauren, Dylan, Holly, Victoria, Alexandra, Roxann, Jonathan, Nicholas and Chenzy; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors will be held on Monday, December 6th at 2 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends are invited to his visitation at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
