Jeanne S. Jones

Jeanne S. Jones , 86, lifetime resident of Frackville, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Frackville she was the youngest of 10 children of the late Carmine and Theresa Gallo Sarra. Jeanne was a well known teacher having taught for several years at the former Frackville Elementary School until her retirement.

She was a devout Member of St. Joseph The Worker Parish, Frackville, member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. James and Knights of Columbus, Fr. James Hogan Auxiliary both of Frackville.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Ronald E. Jones in 2015 and her beloved son Brad in 2021 her brothers and sisters; George, Peter, James, John, Caroline, Josephine, Angeline, Rose and Mary.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter-in-law Kathleen Jones and her grandchildren Samantha and Chase Jones, all of Mountain Top also by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 11 ^th , at 11 a.m. in St.. Ann's Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Brian Miller, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of mass. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
