Jean Ann McCauley

Jean Ann McCauley , 79, Shenandoah, died peacefully Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton.

Born in Shenandoah she was the daughter of the late John and Anna ( Cox ) Jenkins. She had been employed as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Co., until her retirement.

She was a member of Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, Shenandoah.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Thomas McCauley in 2005.

Jean Ann is survived by her uncle William J. Cox Sr. and his wife Florence, Shenandoah, and also by cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Annunciation Church, Shenandoah, with Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, as the celebrant. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass, Tuesday , in the church. Private interment will be in the parish cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, following the mass.
