Janet C. McDonald

Janet C. (Coyle) McDonald , 79 of Girardville passed away on Saturday at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Lost Creek on October 13, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Eleanor (Shearn) Coyle.

She graduated from the former Immaculate Heart Academy, Fountain Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William F. McDonald Sr. in 2005; two sisters: Virginia "Virge" Wood and Barbara "Bobbie" Dooling; a brother, Francis "Frankie" Coyle.

Janet is survived by her son William F. McDonald Jr., Girardville; two daughters: Sherri McDonald, Bethlehem and Janelle McDonald, Girardville; one grandson who she adored, Ryan M. McDonald, Schuylkill Haven; two great-grandchildren: Isabelle and Rowan McDonald; three sisters: El McGarvey, Jackie Isherwood and Kiki Goodman; one brother, Patrick Coyle; two sisters-in-law: Patricia "Patsy" Coyle and Andrea Coyle; many nieces, nephews and cousins that she thought the world of.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 6th at 11 a.m. from St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Girardville with her "favorite" cousin Msgr. Edward Coyle as the celebrant and Fr. Giuseppe Esposito as the con-celebrant.  Friends are invited to her visitation at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
