James L. Purcell , 73, Ringtown, passed away peacefully Friday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with his family at his side.

Born in Susquehanna Township he was a son of the late Stanley C. and Anna E. ( Eckroth ) Purcell. He had been employed by Jeld-Wen, Inc., Ringtown until his retirement.

He was of the Catholic faith and a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Theresa A. ( Lipshaw ) Purcell, in 2007, his son-in-law Steven M. Boehmer in 2015 and by several brothers and sisters.

Jim is survived by his son Randy Purcell, Ringtown, two daughters; Lori Ann Boehmer, Shenandoah and Victoria Cox, FL, his brother Stanley Purcell, TX, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Private viewing and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
