James T. Lloyd
James T. Lloyd , 90, Frackville, died peacefully Friday night at Broad Mountain Nursing Center, Frackville.
Born in Minersville, he was a son of the late Stephen and Margaret Lloyd. He had been employed as a supervisor at the former Alcoa plant, Cressona, until his retirement.
He was a member of Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church, of St. Joseph's Parish, Frackville. Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a life member of Frackville Elks Lodge # 1533, where he served as the Treasurer for several years, he was also a Past Exalted Ruler and Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, life member of Frackville American Legion Post # 398 and member of 25 year club of Alcoa.
He was preceded in death by his brother and two sisters.
Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years the former Virginia ( Subach ), his son James T. Lloyd Jr., Herndon, VA, his daughter Karen Anne Lloyd, Middletown, PA, his six grandchildren; Taylor, Cole and Dane Lloyd, Kathryn Dixon, Heather and Vincent Dangolovich, two great-grandchildren; Jack and Paul Dixon, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church with Rev. Robert T. Finlan, pastor, officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. with Scripture Service at 7:45.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions, in Jim's name, to the American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack Street, Frackville, PA17931.
